R. K. V. S Murthy has completed his MBBS degree from M. R. Medical College, Gulbarga, Karnataka. In year 2000, he completed an emergency medicine certification by Emergency Department, Long Island Jewish Medical Centre, New York, USA. He went on to study Critical Care Medicine in 2000 from Sundaram Medical Foundation, Chennai, India. He has completed a certificate course in Critical Care Medicine by Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine – ISCCM in 2004. He has a rich experience of 15 years as an Intensivist in multi-disciplinary intensive care units and has dealt with all kinds of critically ill cases including cardiac and transplant cases. He has been trained in paediatric ICU & obstetrics ICU (high risk pregnancies) as well. He has a keen interest in teaching and provides training to the nurses and paramedical staff on a regular basis. He conducts theory classes so that the staff acquires core knowledge of critical care and thus gains confidence in managing critically ill patients.
